Minimum Qualifications:

         NPOST TEST

The NPOST test is required for all sworn positions. You can take this test at any time. If you want to apply for a sworn position and have not taken this test, please read the sworn handbook in the right hand column for more information about the test.

Correctional & Protective Services Officers

We are not currently accepting applications for Correctional Officer or Protective Services Officer. If you are interested in applying for Correctional Officer or Protective Services Officer, please read the handbook and fill out an online interest card. Services. You will then be notified when the positions open again.

Reserve Officers

The position of Reserve Officer is a volunteer position. The UPD will provide uniforms and equipment. Reserve Officers are required to complete a field training program during the first six months and then work at least two 10-hour shifts a month.

We accept applications throughout the year for Reserve Officers. You must be Special Functions or Law Enforcement certified to apply. Please contact Officer Brian Lohrke, 801-743-5706, blohrke@updsl.org if you have any questions.
